The other day, I parked next to this 350Z with assorted tacked-on body “enhancements,” including a different front bumper, a regular spoiler, and a roof spoiler. But the standout feature was obviously these side window louvers.

Its totally fine to do that on anything now, as those windows behind the B-pillar are uselessly small.

Mustangs, Camaros, 350Zs, C-HRs...

Oh no! Instead of cosplaying Elvis chic, the Japanese have resorted to Joe Dirt.

I blame Trump.

Blocking off windows is never fine.

Thats my line in the sand.

Gray area. I’ve never driven a truck with a topper and you’re not technically losing a window, but you are moving it way back and giving yourself a huge blind spot.

It’s basically a panel van, they tend to tint the rear window so it’s useless other than ambient light.

TSP, don’t be trying to bring logic and history into this joke

At what size does it cease being a window? 10 square inches? What if, between the small size and 4 inch pillar protrusions, you can’t see out of it from the driver’s seat anyway?

I DD a 350Z. Can confirm that window is the only thing keeping me from having an accident every time i want to change lanes.

Fun fact: Every time someone sits in the passenger seat of my car, they move the seat back for more leg room, which puts the headrest from the seat directly in the way of that window. Invariably, the next day i end up trying to yank the seat forward while leaning over into the passenger side of the car to grab the rail release while traveling at 75 mph in the left lane, unable to get over.

So those slats would solve this problem by taking me directly to “fuck it, today seems like a good day to die.”

It ceases being a window when you put black plastic over it.
